Magical child hater returns to Adelaide Fringe with pet slugs and rock & roll.

The most hilarious family magic show, The I Hate Children Children’s Show with world-class child-hater Paul Dabek, returns to the Adelaide Fringe Festival in March 2018.

With a show jam-packed full of live music, mind-blowing magic, comedy and, of course, Dabek’s signature child-hating, it’s the perfect family outing! But be warned – children are occasionally invited on stage to help the child-hater extraordinaire with magic and you may be left in hysterics.

The original I Hate Children show was created by American producer Paul Nathan, who in recent years has passed it on to UK award-winning magician Paul Dabek. Dabek and musical genius Marty Hailey have revamped the show into a rock opera stage show perfect for parents and children who love kick-butt rock band music.

Paul has written a host of new songs with Australian Marty Hailey who works internationally as a composer, producer and musician, performing on Broadway, in Las Vegas, across the UK, Australia and the South Pacific. Marty has worked with the likes of David Campbell (Adelaide boy! For seven years), Human Nature, Paul Mac and Le Gateau Chocolate.

There are three more local Adelaide musicians helping bring Dabek’s child-hating extravaganza to life, audiences everywhere will be crying with laughter and left awestruck by the magic.

Paul promises The I Hate Children Children’s Show will stand out from the typical ‘heads and shoulders, knees and toes’ children’s show, so if you love your children but hate boring kids shows, make sure to head along to this hilariously magical extravaganza!
