Adelaide Arcade Transforms for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast The Musical | 8-10 May 2025

Adelaide Arcade will be bursting with magic this May as it celebrates the arrival of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast The Musical with a captivating themed activation in the heart of the city.

To mark the show’s Adelaide debut on Thursday 8 May 2025, the Arcade’s iconic fountain at the Rundle Mall entrance will be flower bombed in a breathtaking floral installation created by Roses Only — the national floral partner for Beauty and the Beast. The display will mirror the show’s enchanted rose motif, using a striking mix of fresh and preserved blooms, including roses, orchids, snapdragons, and hydrangeas in rich shades of burgundy and red.

Adding to the enchantment, Belle’s iconic yellow ballgown will be on display from Thursday 8 May in Shop 22. This show-stopping costume, inspired by Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation dress, features thousands of crystals, pearls, and beads — with each petal containing between 300 and 600 embellishments. It’s a rare chance for fans to see the craftsmanship behind one of Disney’s most beloved characters up close.

The floral display will remain in place until Saturday 10 May, coinciding with the show’s official opening night at Adelaide Festival Theatre.

The magic doesn’t stop there — several Adelaide Arcade retailers will also be getting into the spirit. Cielo will host themed high teas, while Orchard Bookshop is planning special cast readings, with more details to be announced soon.

Beauty and the Beast is a reimagined stage production that brings back members of the original creative team from the ground-breaking broadway musical. The show, which has captivated audiences since its premiere in 1994, continues to enchant with its timeless story of love, transformation, and finding beauty within.

This Australian production features a stellar cast, including Shubshri Kandiah as Belle, Brendan Xavier as Beast, and Rohan Browne as Lumiere. With its award-winning score, mesmerising sets, and unforgettable performances, the musical is a must-see event in Adelaide.
