Adelaide Botanic Garden | Tiny Summer School Holiday Program

Adelaide Botanic Garden Tiny Summer Program.

Take your little one to Adelaide Botanic Garden this January for a fun-filled Tiny Summer program.

Embrace all things small through a range of activities, from a musical adventure to creating your own mini magical garden… and more!

Start your visit by marvelling at a fun-sized model of Adelaide Botanic Garden, which has been shrunk down to teensy trees and a petite Palm House.  The model depicts a scene from 1871 when a pioneering hot air balloon flight set to the skies and a pair of brave trapeze artists performed daredevil tricks to cheering crowds.

Play I-spy as you spot quirky additions such as a bear and kangaroos, and press a button to make the hot air balloon move up and down. Read more about this cool, free-to-view model here.

Then entertain your kids with these fun activities:

  • Budding green thumbs can create magical gardens or tiny terrariums.
  • Join the hilarious Charlie D on a musical adventure through the Garden.
  • Get crafty and make cute botanical critters.
  • Enjoy yoga amongst the trees with your smallest family members.
  • Get your science on at a fascinating insect investigation.
  • Discover art that’s so small, it’s invisible…until you use a free app on your device to reveal it! Read our Seeing the Invisible Review.
  • Embark on tiny-themed guided tours to explore the Garden and Aboriginal culture.

While you’re in the Garden, take a picnic or head to the café or kiosk, where there’s a kids menu, plenty of ice cream and great coffee.
