In a quest to support local creativity (in all forms) Flinders Street Market + Dark OZ have put this fabulous weekend together to support grass-root comic creators in South Australia.
The comic-loving community is invited to explore 30 stalls run by local comic writers, illustrators, book sellers, manga lovers, pop culture fans, game designers, toy makers and all things related to comics.
There will be a bunch of themed food stalls, gourmet popcorn, popsicles, cupcakes, a face painter, artisan chocolate and coffee stalls coming for the weekend so it will be a delightful mix for all visitors. It is also Halloween weekend and apart from people dressing up as superhero’s and in cosplay, we are guessing that we will see some ghouls, ghosts and zombies over the weekend too.
This weekend is part of the Flinders Street Market’s exciting special events calendar and it is a first for comic themed weekend for Flinders Street Market.

ABOUT FLINDERS STREET MARKETS:
Flinders Street Market is a small community pop-up market in the heart of the Adelaide that has been going since 1999 and was previously known as the Boat Shed Markets. In 2014 this little market undertook a revamp with a new name, new community of stall holders and market manager Georgia Gabrielle. The Flinders Street Market is now a bohemian place to find an unusual gift, have a meal or chat with a local. It houses an eclectic mix of stalls to delight all guests- from arts, crafts, food, coffee, chocolate, farm-grown produce, antiques, vintage wares to clothing. The market attracts a large portion of tourists as it is a great place to pick up a locally made souvenir.
