AFL Gather Round returns to South Australia from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 April 2027, bringing all 18 AFL clubs together for four days of footy and festivities. The 2027 event will once again feature nine premiership matches, along with fan activities and events across South Australia. Even better for families, Gather Round will fall during the school holidays across the country.

What’s New for Gather Round 2027?
A major new addition for 2027 will be a free players’ parade on Friday afternoon, featuring players from all 18 AFL clubs. The new fan event will give families and footy fans the chance to see their favourite players up close while enjoying the Gather Round atmosphere. Further details about the parade, including its location and time, are still to be announced.
Gather Round has also been officially secured for South Australia until at least 2029, following another record-breaking event in 2026.
