Alexander the Great by Alexander Volkanovski

Australia’s UFC Featherweight World Champion, Alexander Volkanovski has recently released a children’s book “Alexander the Great” to inspire little ones with his story.

Aimed at kids aged 3 and up, the book tells the story of Alex’s rise through the ranks of the UFC with messages of positivity and resilience for kids. From nutrition, training, patience, sacrifice and overcoming his critics, Alex’s story of hard-fought success is an uplifting and age-appropriate one.

Alex Volkanovski is one of the most liked personalities in the competitive world of mixed martial arts and now UFC Featherweight World Title holder.

The book begins with a starry-eyed Alex dreaming of the day he’ll make it onto the sporting stage and covers his journey to become the UFC Featherweight World Champion. Written by Courtney Beaton and illustrated by Samuel Hall, the book is a local production that was inspired not only by Alex’s domination, but more so by the years of work and sacrifices he’s made to get there.

The story captures Alex’s work ethic in a way that appeals to kids and gets them comfortable with discomfort, helps them develop a work ethic, encourages healthy risk taking and reminds them to never give up.
