Rotary Club of Morialta’s Aussie Day Duck Race is back in 2026.
Event update: Due to hot weather, this event has been rescheduled from 26 January to 1 February 2026.
The Great Australia Day Duck Race at Thorndon Park in Campbelltown is hosted by the Rotary Club of Morialta to raise funds for local projects and causes. Bigger and better than before with around 3000 rubber ducks racing for great causes, they have two events racing rubber ducks down the channel to the lake at Thorndon Park this year.
1000 Pink Ducks will race to raise funds for the Cancer Council SA. This is the only Pink Duck Race in the Southern Hemisphere and is brought to you by race sponsors the Rezz Hotel and Mitre 10 Glynde.
Your purchase of a Pink Duck, or two, puts you in the running for a first prize of $500 in cash and a Paradise Mazda MX5 sports car for a weekend. Cash prizes for second and third placed ducks.
The Yellow Ducks are back again after a warm-up event at Strathalbyn, where they were all in quacking good form, ready for their Australia Day start at Thorndon Park.
They have over 2000 yellow ducks racing for a first prize of $1000. Several heats will occur in the lead up to an exhilarating final dash for the cash. Heat winners will win $100 cash or a sponsors voucher of that value.
Take the family along for an afternoon of fun, with racing from 1pm to 4pm. They will have the BBQ going, drinks, popcorn, fairy floss, donuts, giveaways and other foodie options available.
However, if you cannot make it, we will ensure your ducks make it to the finish line and maybe some cash!

See the socials for confirmation on the day for any event changes due to weather, and all duck purchasers will receive an email confirming the start time if the weather forecast is too hot for ducks to race at 1pm.
