Autism-Friendly Sensory Sessions in the SA Maritime Museum

The SA Maritime Museum will be holding Autism-Friendly Sensory Sessions in September, October and November. The Museum will be create special sessions where families can come in and experience a quieter visit that is more relaxing and less crowded.

The lighting will be dimmed, volume turned down, providing families with a quiet sensory space within the Museum.

You can find also find a Social Narrative on the SA Maritime Museum website to help prepare for a happy and relaxing visit.

Duration: 90 minutes
 
Cost: 25% off regular ticket prices (children under 5 are free and do not require a ticket)

The SAMM team are excited to be able to provide this accessible experience to families, especially while the nostalgic Happy Birthday Play School exhibition is still on display.

  • Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 September 2020 | 8.30am – 10am
  • Saturday 24 October 2020 | 4pm – 5.30pm
  • Sunday 25 October 2020 | 9am – 10.30am
  • Saturday 21 November 2020 | 4pm – 5.30pm
  • Sunday 22 November 2020 | 9am – 10.30am
