Enjoy a day at the Barossa History Fair during South Australia’s History Festival.

Ever wondered what treasures are tucked away in the Barossa Museum or wanted to try your hand at Kegel (traditional nine-pin bowling)?

Join friends and family in the beautiful township of Tanunda as doors open for the 2024 Barossa History Fair. With a jam-packed program over two days (Saturday 4 May is opening night with dinner at the Vine Inn), heritage enthusiasts of all ages will have plenty to explore and enjoy.

The Barossa History Fair will bring history alive throughout the town of Tanunda with experiences across nine heritage locations.

Highlights include:

  • Observe the Welcome to Country
  • Speak with local history and genealogy experts
  • Admire the Victoriana Society promenade
  • Watch the Barossa Light Horse parade
  • Have a go at playing Kegel – traditional nine-pin bowling
  • Explore the Barossa Museum
  • Try traditional arts & crafts
  • Take a walking tour of the Lutheran Churches
  • Listen to expert speakers
  • Go on the family scavenger hunt to win great prizes
