Beerenberg Farm Café and Strawberry Picking
Now with their new Beerenberg Farm Café open, the holidays have never tasted so good.
Beerenberg’s menu of family favourites is crafted by their Farm Chef David, using fresh, seasonal, and locally-sourced produce. You’ll find everything from freshly-made loaded hotdogs, burgers, sandwiches, salads and homemade pies, to delectable cakes, waffles, and their famous scones served – of course – with Beerenberg’s very own jams, relishes and sauces. Oh, and plenty of strawberry dishes too of course.
Visit The Dairy, Beerenberg’s very own ice creamery and try one of their nine house-made flavours all made in-house in a cone or a signature shake.

Pick Your Own Strawberries at Beerenberg
Due to the unpredictable spring weather, the Beerenberg Pick Your Own Strawberry season got off to a late start. But now it’s that delicious time to plan a trip to go and visit the patch.
There’s nothing quite like the taste of freshly picked strawberries. Juicy, ripe, and packed with sweetness and flavour, Beerenberg’s strawberries are nothing like any you’ve tasted before. They’ve been running strawberry picking at their strawberry farm since 1975, and never missed a strawberry picking season. It has become an Adelaide institution, with thousands of people coming to enjoy the simple pleasure of strawberry picking. It’s truly the perfect day out for family and friends to enjoy; breathing in the fresh air of the patch and hunting for that perfect strawberry.
How to Pick Your Own Strawberries at Beerenberg
To make sure the patch is open and not “picked out” before you drive to Hahndorf, please make sure you check their website the same day as you plan to visit.

Then go to the Farm Shop. Pay $5/person (12 years and under are free). You will be given a wristband and picking containers.
Follow the red flag to the strawberry patch. Enter the patch and pick to your heart’s content.
Post pics of your visit to the farm this summer with hashtag #PickMeBeerenberg for the chance to win a delicious box of Beerenberg goodies!
Go back to the farm shop and pay for the strawberries you pick at $11.95kg.

(Note: We recommend you wear comfortable, flat shoes, a hat, and sunscreen as there is limited shade out in the patch.)
