Best Adelaide Creeks to Explore for Families

Explore Adelaide’s Creeks

Kids are drawn to creeks. They love exploring this natural, wonderful play space – with or without water.

Winter, especially when we’ve had rain, is a wonderful opportunity to explore the creeks with running water. When we go camping, our kids can literally spend all day in a creek, collecting rocks and sticks, looking for tadpoles, playing games, jumping across stones, just having fun.

Well, in Adelaide you don’t have to go camping or even very far to find a creek. There are many parks and reserves with great creeks to explore. In winter, just pull on the gumboots, rug up in old clothes and head to your nearest creek. In summer, bathers are a must. Take along old towels and a change of clothing just in case.
