Little Market Chefs (6-12 year olds)

At the Adelaide Central Market, they’re passionate about starting from ground level and teaching the next generation how to prepare healthy, easy and tasty meals together with nutritional advice. Why? Because good health starts in the kitchen!

Hosted by the team from Sprout, each cooking class will include a small meal of the dish your little chefs prepare. All of the produce will be fresh from the stalls, and after the class, the children will enjoy their meal with their classmates. Sprout always make sure the classes are fun and interactive, with an educational focus too.

School Holidays: 14 – 23 April – Classes at 10am, 11.30am and 1pm

School Holiday Market Trail (all ages)

You can’t beat the School Holidays Market Trail for value and fun these school holidays.  This famous market trail has been specially formulated for budding gourmands to learn more about the Adelaide Central Market’s local produce.

Each little foodie will be given a market bag and map, before visiting ten pit-stops – receiving a tasty sample item at each one. Whether it’s cheese, yoghurt, seasonal fruit or a sweet treat, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

It is recommended to book your spot in advance, as tickets are limited and often sell out. However, when available, bookings will be accepted on the day – just head to The Market Stall (next to Haigh’s at the Gouger Street entrance).

School Holidays: 14 – 24 April – Sessions at 9am and 2pm
