BioBlitz at Oaklands Wetland – Free Family Event
Join in the FREE fun with activities for all ages at the BioBlitz at Oaklands Wetland. There will be organised walks, talks and kids activities. You will be able to observe, record and learn about the local flora and fauna. Or you can just drop by to take a look as there will be wildlife on display and plenty to do.
What will happen at the BioBlitz?
Discover Oaklands Wetland with local experts. You might find a Collared Sparrowhawk, a Native Liliac, Jumping Tree Bugs, a Ewing’s Tree Frog or a Grey-Headed Flying Fox. See wildlife on display, join flora and fauna searches, go spotlighting, create some Nature Art, go Forest Bathing or learn more about the importance of the moon.
How to participate:
There are a number of ways you can participate. Just head along for a look or register to join a scheduled activity. All of the free individual sessions are listed on the Eventbrite website. You can go for an hour or stay the whole day.
Plan your own experience
Look through the list of sessions and register for the ones you would like to attend (making sure the sessions don’t overlap). On the day, please make sure you arrive at least 20 minutes before your first activity to sign-in.
