Immerse yourself in live music, art installations, film events, heritage tours, botanically inspired food tastings and science events under a magical luminary backdrop.

With environmentally sustainable lights showcasing the beauty of the botanical wonderland at each event, you will be able to see, hear and feel the Garden like never before.

Fire Gardens

French artistic collective Compagnie Carabosse, renowned for their spellbinding illuminations all over the world, are bringing their breathtaking installation, Fire Gardens, as part of the Adelaide Festival. Over four magical nights, Adelaide Botanic Garden will become a dream space of mystery and revelation fashioned from thousands of individual candles.

Illuminated and open to all, explore Adelaide Botanic Garden’s rich heritage buildings by night as part of the South Australian History Festival. With the help of curators and live interpreters, uncover the history of the Goodman Building, Tram Barn A, the Bicentennial Conservatory and the Dead House, and discover how these heritage buildings are used today.
