Call of the Blobfish
This year, for National Science Week, Kids Story Room presents a Pod Play in 5 episodes, Call of the Blobfish.
Deep down in the magical world beneath the waves, the wise and ancient Blobfish needs help. Blobfish engages a jumbly bunch of sea creatures who must overcome their fears and contribute in their quest to save their ocean home.
This series aligns with the theme for National Science Week 2020, Deep Blue – Innovation for the future of our oceans.
Kids Story Room is a South Australian podcast created by actor Anna Steen;
All our stories are original and inspired by the wonderful imaginative minds of young people. With Call of the Blobfish, we hope to ignite the curious scientist in children by engaging them in a story of oceans and marine life, and of their importance to human existence.
Call of the Blobfish will feature some of SA’s favourite actors in Lizzy Falkland and Christopher Pitman. Episode 1 will be released 8 August at the Kids Story Room website, the Inspiring SA website or wherever you get your podcasts – just search for Kids Story Room.
Audiences, including parents and teachers, will also have downloadable access to the support pack of resource material to engage listeners further with the themes of the play HERE.
