Cancer Council’s Undies Run at the Strikers Game
Have you ever wanted to bare it all on Adelaide Oval? Now’s your chance, with 200 fundraisers set to strip down to their undies in front of 40,000 screaming fans, all for a good cause.
Cancer Council SA has joined with Adelaide Strikers to host Cancer Council’s Undies Run at the Strikers, a once in a lifetime chance to run around Adelaide Oval while raising awareness for one of Australia’s biggest killers—bowel cancer.
Held before the opening delivery of the Adelaide Strikers v Hobart Hurricanes BBL match, Cancer Council’s Undies Run will see 200 fundraisers in matching undies run around Adelaide Oval just minutes before the players take to the field.
It’s a cheeky event for a serious issue, with bowel cancer the second leading cause of death in South Australia, claiming over 400 lives every year.
The event is a first for the two organisations, with Cancer Council SA also signing on as the official charity partner for the Adelaide Strikers for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
