Marion City Council will transform Nannigai and Capella Reserves over stages from 2020 – 2022 following endorsement on the Hallett Cove precinct plan in June 2019.  The project will feature new playgrounds, sports facilities, walking trails, seating and picnic facilities.

Nannigai Reserve and Capella Reserve Stage 1 were completed in December 2021 with the construction of the skatepark, curved rock climbing wall, basketball court and carpark.  The project was undertaken by Convic, one of the world’s leading experts in skate park design and construction.

STAGE 1 includes:

  • New skatepark with lighting
  • An expanded car park
  • 3v3 basketball court
  • Climbing elements
  • Shelter, seating and a drinking fountain

Capella Reserve Stage 2 will add toilets, picnic facilities and ninja warrior fitness equipment.

The new jump park and junior pump track at Capella Drive Reserve will be officially opened on Saturday 13 August 2022, as part of formalities acknowledging the Stage 2 upgrade completion of the recreation area in Hallett Cove.

The opening will coincide with the City of Marion youth event, Skate Daze 2, which will run from 11am to 3.30pm.

This is an on-leash park where dogs must be on a leash at all times.  Please note there are currently no toilets at this reserve.
