Charleston Farm | Pick Your Own Flowers | Adelaide Hills

Pick Your Own Flowers in the Adelaide Hills.

A morning spent at Charleston Farm recently was such a beautiful way to start the day! It’s a really lovely experience if you love flowers, and especially if you’re like me and can’t keep anything alive in the garden.

Take the family and wander the flower patch, breathe in the fresh hills air, pick some fresh, colourful flowers and take some gorgeous photos with the kids.

Charleston Farm is a private family farm and bookings and advance payment is required. Session numbers are limited so it’s not crowded while you’re there.

Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times, as there are barbed wire fences keeping cattle in and a dam close by. Pets are not allowed.

Keep a look out on their socials or website to find out when they have Pick Your Own sessions – it’s completely reliant on when there are enough flowers in blooms and the weather.

The cost is $35 per adult picking (as at October 2023). This is charged at the time of booking and includes a jar that will fit approx. 15 stems. Extra stems available for $2 per stem, charged upon departure via card or cash.

Snips and harvest instructions (including what blooms can be picked) will be provided upon arrival. Snips are to remain at the farm.

Please remember this is a working farm so there will be uneven surfaces and things you can hook your clothes on. They ask you to be careful and please use the paths. It is advised to wear closed toe shoes.

Charleston is an easy drive up in the Adelaide Hills near Woodside. It took us about 40 minutes from the city. The small farm is not far from Melba’s Chocolates. Exact address confirmed via confirmation email at time of booking.
