Chat Well Allied Health – an Adelaide provider for Speech Pathology, Autism Assessment, Counselling & Social Groups.
Chat Well Allied Health is a paediatric allied health clinic dedicated to providing high quality services that empower children and their families to communicate with confidence.
The warm and welcoming team at Chat Well embody a neurodiversity-affirming approach within their practice, to support children with a range of diagnoses, including autism, intellectual disability, developmental delay and much more. Chat Well offers services in two clinics, located in Greenacres and Mawson Lakes, as well as offsite visits and Telehealth.
At Chat Well, speech pathology services are provided for the following areas:
- Early intervention (late talkers)
- Speech clarity
- Fluency
- Understanding and use of language
- Literacy
- Social communication
- AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication)
- Deaf and Hard of Hearing support
Chat Well also offers dual autism assessments, with a speech pathologist and psychologist. The team aims to create a safe space for parents, caregivers, and children during and after the diagnostic process.
Counselling services are also offered at Chat Well for parents, caregivers, and school-aged children, to provide support in the following areas:
- Parenting
- Gender identity and/or sexually
- Grief and loss
- Stress, anxiety, and depression
- Relationships
- Work and career
- Self-esteem and self-confidence
- Trauma and abuse
- Overall well-being
During school holidays, Chat Well runs social groups for children with a range of interest areas and ages. Social groups support clients to participate in activities with children with common interests and provide opportunities to practice and utilize skills in real-life scenarios.
Chat Well’s newly renovated Greenacres clinic, alongside Mawson Lakes, is equipped with a range of fun and interactive resources and materials, as well as an office pup, named Chelsea, who welcomes clients on arrival. Chat Well strives to make a positive impact to the lives of children and their families by providing fun, innovative, and functional therapy services and places a strong emphasis on empowering children to develop self-confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
