Celebrate Winter School Holiday’s at Rundle Mall Plaza with a family-friendly experience while supporting the Mary Potter Foundation and its “Backpack of Love” program.
Each session will include cookie decorating, hosted by baking extraordinaire Sam from Clio Cafe. While you’re there, why not visit the Winter Wonderland for a quick snap and colour in a picture?
All proceeds go to The Mary Potter Foundation (up to five tickets per transaction).

ABOUT BACKPACK OF LOVE
The Backpack of Love program was created by the Calvary social workers and is provided free of charge to the children of their patients, through donations to the Mary Potter Foundation. They are used as a tool to support young children who have lost a parent, grandparent, or guardian. Contents include a selection of activities and books designed to distract, entertain and to help them remember their loved one. There is also information to help adults facilitate conversations with the child about their feelings during this difficult time.
In addition to the activities, the children are encouraged to use the backpack to store personal items that remind them of the person they love – such as one of grandma’s hankies sprayed with her perfume, their favourite photo or t-shirt of their loved one, or a DVD they loved to watch together. When the child is feeling sad and missing their loved one, they can open the backpack to touch/feel/smell the special items they have collected. This can be so comforting and helps them reconnect to the person they miss so dearly!

When: Wednesday 12 July & Thursday 13 July 2023 | 10am-11am and 12pm-1pm
Where: 50 Rundle Mall, Rundle Mall Plaza (Head up the lifts or escalators to The Terrace dining area, located on Level One).
Who: Suitable for children aged 7 and under (12 children per session)
