Cheese-A-Holics Cheese Festival 2019
Cheese-A-Holics Cheese Festival is back in 2019 at a new location in the Derby Pavilion at Morphettville Racecourse on Sunday 21 July to celebrate the most scrumptious cheeses from across Australia and around the world. Sample the delicious offerings from over 25 artisan producers and wholesalers of cheese, wine, gin and condiments from across the state.
Enjoy tastes from cheese producers and suppliers including Alexandrina Cheese Company, Barossa Cheese Company, Milkless Vegan Cheeses and Edwards Crossing.
Nothing goes better with cheese than a tasty drink so sample some sparkling wines from Lloyd Brothers and Smidge wineries, gin from Never Never Gin or a craft beer from Big Shed Brewing Company.
What is a cheese platter without all the scrumptious condiments to enjoy including Penfield Olives, Spice Girlz, Lost Loaf and Port Willunga Fine Foods to name just a few of the fantastic producers attending this year’s Cheese-A-Holics Cheese Festival.
There will also be free demonstrations rolling throughout the day including the Artisan Cheese Academy and Cheese-A-Holics, food vans including Gang Gang Burgers and Ozzie Gozleme, music by DJ Ryley, Cheezy Grinz photo contest for the best picture of the day and much more.

Masterclasses:
Masterclass tickets must be bought separately. Tickets are limited to 40 per class.
10:30am to 11:30am – Beston’s Edward’s Crossing and Main & Cherry Wines Masterclass (1 Hour) | $40
A first for Cheese-A-Holics Cheese Festival with award winning Beston’s Edward’s Crossing Cheeses joined by award winning Main & Cherry Wines to present a 100% grown and produced South Australian Cheese and Wine Masterclass. Master Cheesemaker, Paul Connolly and Wine Maker Michael Sexton, both awarded producers dedicated to producing quality from the finest ingredients using old fashioned techniques and new technology and ideas expressed in the story and creation of ‘God’s Gifts of SA Cheese and Wine’.
12pm to 1:30pm – Spanish Cheese, Wine and Charcuterie (featuring San Jose) Masterclass (1.5 Hours) | $55
A true Masterclass highlighting beautiful imported Spanish Cheeses paired with regional wines and Spanish inspired Charcuterie from San Jose Smallgoods. Jose and Pas, (owners of San Jose Smallgoods) will present the San Jose philosophy for producing the finest salumi inspired by the flavours of Spain and Portugal while Cheese-A-Holics will offer sampling of quality imported Spanish wines and cheeses sourced through Quality Food World’s quality range. So, if fine Wines paired with great Cheese & Charcuterie flavours excites your taste buds, then don’t miss this unique opportunity to take part in this exquisite Spanish Masterclass.
2pm to 3pm – Cocktails and Cheese Pairings – A Mouthwatering Masterclass | $40
Put your palate to the test sampling a selection of stunning gin cocktails made by the Never Never team, paired with beautiful cheese curated by Lauretta of Cheese-A-Holics. Over the course of the hour, learn to mix classic and contemporary gin cocktails and uncover the secrets to pairing them with a variety of cheese. It is a life skill that will repay itself many times over.
3:30pm to 4:30pm – Big Shed Brewing with Cheese-A-Holics Beer and Cheese Masterclass | $40
Everyone talks about cheese and wine, but for the Big Shed Brewing Co team its all about cheese and beer. What sounds like an unlikely combination is actually a winner. Lager and brie, IPA and Stilton it all works. Go along and see what Lauretta from Cheese-A-Holics and the BSBC team have paired for you and be ready to be surprised.
