2015 City of Playford Commemorations
The City of Playford pays tribute to all Australian servicemen and women who fought and served in all wars, conflicts and peace operations in the past hundred years, including Gallipoli and the Western Front.
They invite the community to join in at the local commemorations at the Cross of Remembrance in Smithfield Memorial Gardens this ANZAC Day.
24 April at 7:30pm – Overnight Vigil
25 April at 6:00am – Dawn Service
Each year, the City of Playford remembers the fallen with a Commemoration Ceremony.
You are invited to join with City of Playford’s Mayor Glen Docherty and Pastor Bryan Sellars to commemorate and pay tribute to past and present servicemen and women. Join them at 7:30pm on 24 April 2015 for the Overnight Vigil and/or at 6am on 25 April 2015 for the Dawn Service at Cross of Remembrance Memorial, Smithfield Memorial Gardens, Anderson Walk, Smithfield.
Everyone is welcome to lay a wreath.
Breakfast will be available at a small cost from the Smithfield Sports and Social Club.
