A number of restrictions in South Australia will ease from Friday 28 August 2020
Due to the improving situations across the border, there will be an easing on the restriction of people allowed at private gatherings, a 40km travel buffer for border communities and an easing of self-quarantining on some travellers.
- Residential gatherings will be able to have up to 50 people.
- The 40km travel buffer zone for border communities with Victoria and SA will be reinstated (this will only occur if there is no community transmission in those areas between now and midnight Thursday 27 August).
- If you are transiting to SA through Sydney or Canberra airports from WA, NT, Qld or Tasmania, you will no longer be required to undertake 14 days self-isolation.
The border restrictions with NSW and the ACT are being closely monitored and there will be further announcements coming.
