Create4Adelaide | Create an Artwork | 2023/2024

Create4Adelaide is a large-scale, year-long project that encourages young people to develop their creative skills and engage with local climate change priorities.

This is an opportunity for young people to be part of something big; to express themselves artistically, to think outside of the box and to engage with important issues around climate change in a local setting. The project culminates in a digital and physical exhibition that will be presented as part of the 2024 Adelaide Festival.

The project started with a vote on local climate priorities. The three top priorities identified were:

  1. extreme weather events (such as floods, droughts and bushfires),
  2. the extinction of animals and plants,
  3. the pollution of our air and waterways.

Submit your Artwork:

On 1 August 2023, Create4Adelaide launched their open call, inviting young people to create works of art responding to the three climate priorities and encouraging climate action.

Create an artwork inspired by one of South Australia’s three climate priorities. It can be a drawing, a poem, a video or a campaign for South Australia climate change challenges.

Your creativity can help build a better future for your friends, your families, and the people of South Australia. Selected artworks will be exhibited during 2024 Adelaide Festival.
