A Celebration of Culture, Connection & Hope Step into a world of cultural discovery at St Raphael’s School’s annual Cultural Connections Fair Day! This unique event brings the Adelaide community together for an unforgettable afternoon filled with food, art, storytelling, and connection.
What to Expect:
- A powerful Welcome to Country and traditional storytelling by an Aboriginal Elder at midday.
- Inspiring narratives like the Catholic Resurrection Story (2:30pm) and Kaurna Dreaming Stories celebrating renewal and resilience.
- Delicious homemade dishes from around the globe—bring your own picnic lunch or share traditional foods with others!
- Fun for all ages: a soft play area for toddlers, temporary tattoos, and a giant inflatable soccer pitch.
- Student-led exhibitions showcasing cultural heritage through art and research displays from Reception to Year 6.
Take your picnic rug or fold-out chairs and enjoy shaded seating areas while sipping drinks from the on-site bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available). Sharing food with others is encouraged but not required—it’s all about fostering community spirit!
