Join Moana on her next wayfinding adventure with new friends and challenges.
Movie Review by Adaire Prosser
Moana is back and this time she is joined by some new friends, some unlikely allies and our favourite Demi-God Maui. She is fulfilling her destiny to find and unite the peoples of the ocean and become the next great wayfinder.
This second instalment has a lot of what we love from the first movie; entertaining humour, action and adventure, cute animal companions and another amazing soundtrack. Just as with the first Moana, the journey is equally developmental and physical. There is a great balance of action and comedy throughout the movie, and few Disney easter eggs for some of the older audience.
Moana 2 highlights all the ways in which she has grown since the first movie. We see this in her improved wayfinding skills, and in sharing her knowledge and experience with her little sister.
There is a cast of new friends that join Moana on her newest journey, which is also a nice contrast to the first movie instalment. There are also a few character appearances from the previous movie that viewers will appreciate.
Moana 2 is rated PG for scenes of action/peril. Our four year old reviewer and his 18 month old sister viewed the movie and enjoyed seeing their favourite characters back in action.
P.S if you stay behind after the credits you will be treated to a sneak peek!
DISNEY MOANA 2 IS SHOWING IN CINEMAS FROM 28 NOVEMBER 2024
