Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. Monsters University unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends. Screaming with laughter and fun, Monsters University is directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae. Starring Billy Crystal and John Goodman who reprise their roles in the prequel as the wise-cracking Mike Wazowski and lovable Sulley. Monsters University features a host of new faces and a few returning favourites from Monsters, Inc.
Editor’s Post Script Review – 11 June 2013
The Play & Go team saw a preview screening of Monsters University on the weekend. The movie is full of all sorts of cute and crazy creatures which kids (and adults) will love. There are great themes of how team work is the best way to go; that cheating will just disappoint; and that hard work will win out in the end. Younger children may be scared of the concept that these monsters are in a ‘Scare program’ to sneak into childrens’ bedrooms at night to scare them. There are many sequences showing different monsters doing this.
