Do It For Dolly Day | 8 May 2026

do it for dolly day

Do It For Dolly Day is a national day of action calling on Australians to Go Blue to End Bullying.

Now in its eighth year, the day highlights the devastating impact of bullying by sharing the story of Dolly Everett, who was only 14 when ongoing bullying and cyberbullying tragically led her to take her own life in 2018. Dolly’s story is heartbreaking but reflects the experience of far too many young people across Australia.

Across schools, workplaces, sports clubs, and communities, Australians are coming together in blue to raise awareness, spark conversations, and support young people impacted by bullying.

Whether you fundraise, host a blue-themed event, or simply wear blue for the day, your actions help create a kinder, safer world for every young person.

By taking part, you’re standing with thousands of Australians to ensure no young person has to face bullying alone, while honouring Dolly Everett’s memory and her dream of a world free from bullying.

About Dolly’s Dream

Dolly’s Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett following the shattering loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Dolly, to suicide, after ongoing bullying. Kate and Tick’s goal is to prevent other families walking this road. They want to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.
