Do It For Dolly Day | 10 May 2024

Dolly’s Dream want you or your school, workplace, sports club or community group to join them in Going Blue To End Bullying in 2024.

Dolly’s Dream is committed to changing the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

On Friday 10 May 2024 they are calling on you to help make Dolly’s own dream of a kinder and safer world for Australia’s kids and communities a reality.

This year, they’re asking people to simply:

GO BLUE

Dress or decorate in blue, Dolly’s favourite colour.

DONATE

Donate now to help deliver bullying prevention and online safety programs across Australia

FUNDRAISE

Help support anti-bullying initiatives and stop other precious lives being lost to bullying.

BE KIND

To everyone and everything you see, a little kindness goes a long way.

Around one in four Australian school children are bullied and one in five are cyber bullied each year.

But it’s not only our kids who are impacted – around 45 million bullying incidents take place across Australia’s schools annually and it costs our whole community greatly. And for those who lose a loved one because of it, the cost is immeasurable.

Your generous support enables the development of vital bullying prevention and online safety programs that can be provided to kids, families, schools, and communities across Australia.

About Dolly’s Dream

Dolly’s Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett following the shattering loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Dolly, to suicide, after ongoing bullying. Kate and Tick’s goal is to prevent other families walking this road. They want to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families. Dolly’s Dream is proudly brought to you by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation.

In memory of Dolly, they ask that you live Dolly’s dream today – and every day – to be kind, and to speak, even if your voice shakes.
