Essentials 4 Women SA aims to provide the basic, but costly, items for feminine hygiene including sanitary products and underwear for disadvantaged women.
In 2015 there is no place for homelessness. If we could give every single displaced person a permanent, warm place to sleep, we would. Sadly we can’t but we want to do SOMETHING to help ease the burden of those living rough, at-risk of living rough or in crisis accommodation due to domestic violence.
Since their foundation in April 2015, Essentials 4 Women SA has collected over 10,000 items of sanitary items and new underwear and delivered to organisations that help some of the most vulnerable women in South Australia’s community.
They intend to run two public donation drives a year where there will be businesses and private residences across SA acting as drop-off locations.
The next campaign will run from 13 September – 17 October 2015

Maybe instead of just doing it in Adelaide, yous could also do it in remote areas like Port Augusta, Whyalla and other places as I would love to put in with this because I know what it’s like being on the street and getting your period isn’t the nicest feeling. And I know they homeless people in those places that would really appreciate this sort of gesture! Keep up the great work and involve more towns. ๐
