Fables, Fairy Stories and Fantasy | Kay Brothers Winery and Cellar Door | 2 Apr – 21 Jul 2019

Fables, Fairy Stories and Fantasy

As part of this month’s History Festival, Kay Brothers are opening up their personal library. An exhibition called, “Fables, Fairy Stories and Fantasy” will be a showcase of their children’s book collection.

With a collection spanning 170 years and 5 generations of children’s books, this exhibition will give visitors the opportunity to marvel at the children’s books from generations past. Featuring titles from Australian and international authors, this collection began in the 1800s when William and Sarah Kay arrived in South Australia.

The exhibition will be on throughout History Festival, until 31 July, at the Kay Brothers Cellar Door. Families are invited to peruse the incredible collection, and take a look at how much children’s books have changed in the last 170 years.
