George T Fisher Playground Redevelopment
The City of Victor Harbor is upgrading George T Fisher Playground, located on the Foreshore adjacent Flinders Parade.
The redevelopment follows extensive community consultation and will ensure the playground remains one of the most popular family destinations in the region.
The design of the new nature playground is sure to be a hit with all ability and inclusive play opportunities, and quirky play areas including an island with bridge access, fisherman’s shack and railway inspired elements.
You can view the concept plan for more information about what is going to be included HERE.
Construction of the new playground commenced on Tuesday, 13 March 2019 and is expected to be complete in June 2019.
While George T Fisher Playground will be closed until the works are complete, there are two nearby playgrounds – the Youth Park on Bridge Terrace and Soldiers’ Memorial Reserve playground.
Council has secured $220,000 through the SA Government’s Planning and Development Fund Open Space Grant Program to assist with the cost of construction.
