Giant Swing at West Beach Adventure
Swing into action with West Beach Adventure’s thrilling new addition!
West Beach Adventure’s Giant Swing, combining the thrill of swinging fast and high through the air with gorgeous ocean views, is an activity that is guaranteed to get the adrenaline racing.
Wearing the same harness required to participate in all West Beach Adventure activities, riders are strapped into their seat at ground level, before being winched up to 18m off the ground where once they feel ready, can release the swing by pulling on the cord hanging behind them. No matter how young or old, expect squeals of trepidation and delight!
Our advice for youngsters from our brave 10 year old swing testers, would be to swing from the lower setting first. There’s the option to be winched up about a quarter of the way first, before swinging from the full height. There is a startling drop and the feeling of falling when you first release the swing, before you actually start to swing back and forth.
West Beach Adventure already offers Adelaide’s leading climbing course, the SkyChallenge, which has more than 80 aerial crossings, a free-fall jump and the Crows Nest – a 30-metre, near-vertical climb.
The top of the SkyChallenge rewards climbers with beautiful 360-degree views taking in the ocean, city and Adelaide Hills.
West Beach Adventure has been operating internationally for over a decade and the group invests heavily in safety, training and equipment.
The Giant Swing has a minimum height restriction of one metre and a maximum weight restriction of 128kg.
