Grant Place Reserve

Grant Place Reserve is a new playground which has recently been renovated by the City of Charles Sturt Council. It features play equipment and slides for both younger and older kids, a river bed sandpit, round-a-bout, four swings, a large climbing wall and a little bike track around the perimeter of the park. The playground is fully fenced.

The Little Library was also launched recently. It came about when a member of the adjacent Flinders Park Tennis Club applied for a Place Makers Grant with the City of Charles Sturt. It’s a wonderful way for the community to share books. Pick a book out of the cute little toadstool library and read under a tree when you visit.

Local children came and created a vertical garden out of recycled plastic bottles to make “critter planters”, which have made a vibrant backdrop to the little Library exchange.

Local residents consider the reserve and adjoining Flinders Park Tennis Club vital to maintaining and strengthening ties within their community. It’s a lovely community play space for all to enjoy.

Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities there.
