EDITORS NOTE: Unfortunately due to the extreme heat forecast for Australia and in the interests of patron and staff safety, this event has been cancelled. Unley Swimming Centre will be open on Australia Day and Mr Oopy will share his magnificent bubble show at 12.15pm.
Bring your family, friends and neighbours and enjoy the 2018 Australia Day Celebrations. Activites include children’s entertainment and live music.
This year’s Australia Day Ambassador is scientist and former host of the Curiosity Show, Dr Rob Morrison OAM. He is a regular columnist for Chemistry in Australia and prepares segments for Ockham’s Razor and the Science Show on ABC Radio National. He has written 31 books and co-written 13 others on science and natural history. Helped establish SciWorld, a new science centre in Adelaide that runs exciting education programs. Recognised nationally and internationally as an outstanding science communicator. Senior Australian of the Year (South Australia) 2008.
