Disney on Ice Presale

Play & Go Review & Tips {Editor’s Note: Friday 10 June 2016}

It’s the Disney On Ice we’ve been waiting for! Disney lovers young and old, especially the Frozen fans, absolutely loved the first show in Adelaide tonight. If you’re going to see it this weekend you are in for a treat! Each main character performs a beautiful solo and there are wonderful duets as well. Look out for Ariel’s amazing aerial rope performance. Even if you’ve been to Disney On Ice many times and have seen Tangled, Beauty & the Beast and The Little Mermaid – you’ll be pleased to know that each segment has been re-jigged with new choreography. Don’t worry all the favourite songs are there though. You will not be disappointed. The opening introductory segments with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends have a fun vibe with catchy 80s songs that the adults will know and want to bop to – think Toni Basil’s Hey Mickey, Madonna’s Vogue, and Cindy Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

‘Frozen’ was made for this arena. See our video here of a little peek:

 A few little notes:

❄️ The boys loved it just as much as the girls.

❄️ A few people have asked if it’s cold in there – actually it’s surprisingly not cold at all – we all took our jackets off. It is a bit cooler if you are sitting very close to the rink.

❄️ Yes Princesses and Princes are welcome – it’s the perfect chance for them to go dressed in their special Princess dress or other Disney outfit. With Princesses “the cold doesn’t bother them anyway,” but they could wear a cardigan for outside, which they can easily take off.

❄️ Children under 2 yrs old do not need a ticket if sitting on your lap but bear in mind the show is 2 hrs long (with a 15 minutes intermission) so might be a long time for a little one to sit still, plus the music is quite loud for little ears.

❄️ Allow around 15-20 minutes for parking. There’s always a line-up for parking in the Entertainment Centre car park. Don’t forget there is also parking across the road in the DK Fabric and the one off East Street. Sometimes the car parks are operated by charities and the money collected goes straight to them. Don’t forget to take cash for parking.
