The Gums Reserve Tranmere Review

The Gums Reserve Tranmere Review

What a great park for a BBQ or a picnic with friends. The many Gum trees providing shade over this expansive reserve make it an ideal spot for a hot summer’s day. With plenty of room for everyone The Gums Reserve is a good place to come and let off some steam.

Our kids love playing hide and seek behind the Gum trees dotted around the reserve or kicking a footy. There’s also a half basketball court for kids who want to shoot some hoops.

Things to consider

❤️ the “exeloo” toilet is fully automated and little people might find the locking and door closing mechanism and accompanying messages a bit confusing. We have also found the toilet cubicle to be a bit lacking in the hygiene stakes

❤️ if your little one likes to put anything and everything in their mouth be aware that there are bark chips in the playground

❤️ if you’ve got a child who likes to go and hide, then there are plenty of Gum trees to hide behind. Perfect for a game of hide and seek – not so good for kids who like to hide when it’s time to leave the park and go home!

❤️ in summer the trees will provide shade but there is currently no shade sail over the play area
