Whale Time Playtime Festival

Celebrate the start of the whale season at the Whale Time Playtime Festival at Warland Reserve.

Whale Time Playtime Festival is a unique children’s winter festival, celebrating the start of the annual whale season each year. Warland Reserve comes alive as a winter wonderland with a full day of live performances, fun-filled activities, music, workshops and art.

Each year, Southern Right Whales, and the occasional passing Humpback Whale travel from the cold waters of Antarctica to the protected coastal waters of the Encounter Bay Marine Park on the Fleurieu Peninsula, to mate and give birth. The main goal of the Whale Time PlayTime Festival is to raise awareness among families and educate children in fun and interesting ways about the

  • Rock Climbing Wall
  • Fun on the Run
  • Bouncing castle
  • Bouncing Worm
  • Carousel Ride
  • Giant Kite Display
  • Arts & Craft sessions upstairs in the Whale Centre
  • Free entry to the SA Whale Centre all day
  • 2-for-1 tickets on the Horse Drawn Tram all day

Activities are included with entry fee.

Gates open at 10am until 4pm with plenty on offer inside the festival gates. There will be pram parking and a mobile parenting room on-site plus plenty of parking available nearby and food and coffee to buy.

Tickets: $6 per person | $20 for a family of 4 (+ booking fees online)

Online ticket sales close 25 May 2018 at 6pm. Tickets are also available at the gate from 10am on the day with cash or EFTPOS accepted.
