Lucia’s Pizza & Spaghetti Bar celebrates 60 years!
One of the Adelaide Central Market’s oldest traders and a South Australian icon in it’s own right, Lucia’s Pizza & Spaghetti Bar, is celebrating 60 years of traditional Italian hospitality and service to South Australia this weekend.
Lucia Rosella opened their stall in July 1957 after encouragement from her Australian neighbour, Dayna Hill to become the first pizza bar in Adelaide, famous for their traditional style pizza and pasta. Daughters Nicci and Maria continue to own and run the stall and still use the original Italian recipes we know and love.
Head to the market on Saturday 5 August 2017 for a morning filled with celebrations to commemorate Lucia’s special milestone including a FiveAA live radio broadcast, giant birthday card signing and free kids activities!
