Lucky Dumpling Market | OzAsia Festival | Adelaide | 17 Oct – 9 Nov 2025

This popular spring festival hub features delicious food, free entertainment, and fun for the whole family. Indulge your senses at OzAsia Festival’s Lucky Dumpling Market with the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of a bustling Asian open-air food market along the banks of Karrawirra Parri/River Torrens!
Spend your balmy spring evenings with some of Adelaide’s best food vendors cooking up delicious authentic Asian cuisine from Korea, Vietnam, India, The Philippines, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
From bubble tea, to baos to noodles and everyone’s mouth-watering dumplings, Lucky Dumpling Market is the perfect place to grab a bite before or after your show with family and friends. Be entertained by Lucky Beats, a free live music and DJs program from local, interstate and international artists each Thursday to Sunday, along with family-friendly workshops, cultural activities and performances showcasing our wonderful local community groups on weekends.

This year’s line-up features 28 food vendors, including three exciting newcomers – Please Send Noods, Xeo Xeo and Just Sticks – alongside returning favourites like Hoy Pinoy, Bao+, Phat Head Dumplings, Son in Law and Shmochi. Expect everything from bao, satay and curries to sweet treats like mochi doughnuts and pandan churros. It’s not just about food – visitors can enjoy a lively bar scene with Japanese whiskies, sake flights, yuzu spritzes and local beers.
Entry is FREE. Enter via the riverside walkway (near Popeye’s landing) or King William Road.

Play & Go’s Tips on what to take to the LDM:
- a debit or credit card, as all food, drink and merchandise purchases are via EFTPOS (cashless venue)
- a refillable water bottle, to drink from the free water stations.
- a picnic blanket – while there are plenty of tables and chairs, these are in high demand at peak times, but there is plenty of grass to sit on.
- sun protection for during the day eg hats, shirts, sunscreen – while there are multiple shade structures (umbrellas over tables and a tent, Elder Park is in full sun during the day.
- warm layers for the evenings – there is a cool breeze off the river.
- It’s fenced all around but remember the river is nearby so keep an eye on kids.
- Entry is FREE and bookings are not needed.
