OzAsia Festival’s Lucky Dumpling Market returns to Elder Park from 9 October to 1 November 2026.
Set along the banks of Karrawirra Parri/River Torrens, this popular open-air food market will feature 25 food vendors serving everything from dumplings and bao to street food from Vietnam, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, India and Cambodia, plus plenty of Asian-inspired sweet treats. For the first time, OzAsia Festival’s iconic moon lanterns will be on display throughout the Lucky Dumpling Market!
Enjoy free entertainment from Thursday to Sunday, featuring live music, DJs, and cultural performances celebrating Adelaide’s Asian community groups.

Entry is FREE. Enter via the riverside walkway (near Popeye’s landing) or King William Road.
Brought to you by the team behind Adelaide Fringe venue Gluttony, the Lucky Dumpling Market is hugely popular every year and we expect it to be great again this year!
Play & Go’s Tips on what to take to the Little Dumpling Market:
- a debit or credit card, as all food, drink and merchandise purchases are via EFTPOS (cashless venue)
- a refillable water bottle, to drink from the free water stations.
- a picnic blanket – while there are plenty of tables and chairs, these are in high demand at peak times, but there is plenty of grass to sit on.
- sun protection for during the day eg hats, shirts, sunscreen – while there are multiple shade structures (umbrellas over tables and a tent, Elder Park is in full sun during the day.
- warm layers for the evenings – there is a cool breeze off the river.
- The venue is fenced but remember the river is nearby so keep an eye on kids.
- Entry is FREE and bookings are not needed.
