Mount Barker Train Playground

Train Playground Majestic Drive, Mount Barker

In one of Mount Barkerโ€™s newer estates lies a hidden gem of a playground.

Review by Ashleigh Grant

This space can be found off a quiet backstreet of the Bluestone Estate, Majestic Drive.

This playground is fully enclosed and over looks the natural wetlands. It offers a drinking fountain, a soft-fall rubber looped trail that is perfect for bike riding and four shade sails covering majority of the equipment.

If your child loves trains then this playground is a must! There is so much fun to be had on this train with multiple sections to move about and a rotating steering wheel. For the older children there is also a rock-climbing wall with various challenging routes to discover.

Mount Barker Train Playground

The playground is very toddler friendly with reasonable rope ladders to climb and subtle features in place to increase safety.

The slide has a good length of flatness at the bottom to ensure the child has slowed down before reaching the end. This slide is made of metal however so care should be taken on hot days.

The playground is picturesque with its surrounding trees and colourful shrubs.

A short stroll from the playground a boardwalk can be found over looking a running creek.

Adjacent to the playground area there is a free standing shelter equipped with a push-start BBQ and multiple tables and seating.

Either side of the shelter is ample lawn area for ball games and chasey.
