Marilyn Jetty Swim – Poolside Edition | 8 Feb 2026
In 2026, the Marilyns are making a splash at Marion Outdoor Pool for a special Poolside Edition.
The inaugural Marilyn Jetty Swim was held as part of the 2014 Brighton Jetty Classic. Since then it has become a crowd favourite with thousands cheering them on from the Jetty and shoreline.
The Marilyn Jetty Swim is growing year-on-year, and as the number of Marilyns taking part has increased, so has the infrastructure required to hold such an event – it takes the Cancer Council SA team significant time, planning and resources to deliver.
As they can’t guarantee that conditions at Brighton Jetty will be favourable for swimming on the day, they have decided to relocate the Marilyn Jetty Swim to Marion Outdoor Pool in February 2026.
Their aim is to deliver a great experience for all Marilyns while raising vital funds to support the thousands of South Australians impacted by cancer every year.
The Marilyns won’t have a presence at the Brighton Jetty Classic this year, including the parade. The Brighton Jetty Classic is still going ahead though and they encourage everyone to head out and support this fantastic event.
They’re looking forward to an exciting, new experience for the Marilyns this year, and returning to the Brighton Jetty Classic in 2027.
HOW IT WORKS:
- Register – New Marilyn $55 (including wig and sunglasses) + cost of bathing suit / Returning Marilyn $30
- Raise money and have fun – Raise funds for South Aussies impacted by cancer in the lead up to the big swim on Sunday 8 February 2026
- Get the Marilyn look – Purchase your swimsuit and swim ring, and pop on your blonde wig and sunglasses to complete the look

Around one in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they turn 85. By taking part in the Marilyn Jetty Swim Poolside Edition, you’ll be helping to raise vital funds for life-saving prevention, research and support services for all South Australians impacted by cancer.
