Marion Outdoor Pool Upgrade Complete
City of Marion has released a video of the completed upgrade of the Marion Outdoor Pool.
The Marion Outdoor Pool has been transformed into an exciting and modern water park where families can swim and play.
More than $1.9 million of new attractions have been installed in time for this season, including:
- 9m-high tower with four slides and a giant tipping bucket containing 600 litres of water
- 59sq m play area with water jets
- Shades, barbecues, landscaping, paths
- Balinese hut for hire for parties
- Playground
- Outdoor gym
- Expanded site
- Meeting room for hire
This completes the $4.5 million revamp of the pool which began in 2018.

The plan was for the Marion Outdoor Pool to become southern Adelaide’s biggest outdoor water park.
The site was expanded to create a family area with three new shade structures, barbecues, and landscaping, plus a 59 sqm play area for younger children with a non-slip surface and water jets.
Paths were installed to improve access for people of all abilities.
The pool officially opened from 6 October 2020.
