Mini Float Competition | National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant
Design a Mini Float for the 2026 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant.
Primary school children have the chance each year to win an exclusive experience at the annual National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant by getting creative and designing a mini float. They need to submit a minimum of one full-colour, hand-drawn or digital drawing of the mini float design, or create a model mini-float to enter.
A mini float is a small mobile set that is light enough to be pushed or pulled along the Pageant route.
The Mini Float Competition is open to both individuals and groups and entries can be a drawing, painting or model.
This is a wonderful opportunity to put pen to paper, colour pencils and whatever other tools young creative minds can conjure up to imagine, craft and create a Pageant mini float.
The winning design from the 2025 mini float competition was ‘Made with Love and a Sprinkle of Magic’ designed by Oakley Formosa from Redwood Park Primary School.
Ardtornish Primary School student Lia Mewett won the 2024 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant’s Mini Float Competition with her bee-utiful design ‘Bee Merry’.
KEY DATES
- Entries open Saturday 11 April 2026
- Entries close Friday 26 June 2026
- The winners will be notified by 31 July 2026
Designs are to be received no later than 11:59pm ACST on Friday 26 June 2026 in order to meet production deadlines to be ready for the Pageant.
PRIZES
Thanks to National Pharmacies, the winning entries will receive:
- First prize: $500 + a unique behind the scenes tour of Stardust Castle + a reserved space to watch the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant
- Second prize: $300
- Third prize: $200
Each entry will be viewed by a panel of judges appointed by the Pageant’s creative director.
