Open House Adelaide is your chance to go behind the scenes and explore some of Adelaide’s buildings, for free, during the first weekend in May. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to get out and about and discover parts of the city with your family you may not have experienced before.
Open House Adelaide’s kids’ activity packs are filled with fun ways to explore the city during the weekend. Pick one up from the Family Hub at the Migration Museum.

Open House Adelaide Family Hub at the Migration Museum
- Saturday & Sunday, 10am-4pm
- Join us in the Migration Museum Chapel and help us to construct our own city in miniature from found and recycled objects
Adelaide Festival Centre
- Saturday 10am and 1pm (bookings required)
- Join in a family-friendly tour of the Adelaide Festival Centre
Art Gallery of South Australia – House of Cards
- Sunday 11am-3pm
- Join the START team as they introduce you to the work of Dark Heart artist Tony Albert and help you to cut, fold and shape your own house of cards
Fab Lab
- Sunday 12noon-4pm
- Ever wanted to see a 3D printer at work? This is your chance!
JamFactory Contemporary Craft and Design

- Marvel at the spectacle of live glass-blowing
Level One – Soundpond

- Join the Soundpond crew in the Beatshed and try your hand at DJ’ing
