This year Adelaide Zoo celebrates a 130 year milestone and during the April school holidays Splash Adelaide are unleashing the animals – namely a giraffe, panda, tiger and an orangutan – into the wild that is the CBD! During the first week renowned artist Emma Hack along with other local artists will publically paint statues of some favourite zoo residents in the city’s Hindmarsh Square. During the second week of the holidays the animal statues will be out and about at iconic locations throughout Adelaide’s CBD and Splash Adelaide will be running a competition – Spot and Win. Be sure to get the kids to keep their eyes peeled if you’re out and about in the city for your chance to win family passes to the Adelaide Zoo. All participants will also go into the draw to win amazing zoo experiences including Big Cat Interactive, Meet the Primates, Panda and Friends and a Giraffe brief encounter.
The School Holiday Program:
First Week:
- Sunday April 14 – Fredrock painting the panda – Adelaide Zoo rotunda (10am – 4pm)
- Monday April 15 – Emma Hack painting the giraffe – Hindmarsh Square (10am – 4pm)
- Tuesday April 16 – Emma Hack painting the giraffe – Hindmarsh Square (11am – 2pm)
- Wednesday April 17 – Henry Jock Walker painting the orangutan – Hindmarsh Square (11am – 2pm)
- Thursday April 18 – Narisha Cash painting the tiger – Hindmarsh Square (11am – 2pm)

Second Week | 22 – 26 April 2013
The animal statues will be out and about at iconic locations throughout Adelaide’s CBD. Spot and win – keep your eyes peeled daily for your chance to win family passes to Adelaide Zoo.
