Picnic In The Park, take your picnic, and your pooch!
South Australia’s biggest LGBTIQ festival FEAST ends with a grand finale show, Picnic In The Park, on Sunday 27 November 2022.
Recently relocated to Rundle Park/Kadlitpina (Park 13), this year is particularly poignant for Feast, which celebrates its 25th anniversary, showcasing incredible flamboyant talent with over 100 shows. The festival ends on the 27 November 2022 with its biggest show in Rundle Park, bursting with Rainbow activity perfect for families and free for anyone under 15 years of age.
Take along your picnic rug and don’t forget your pooch. Dog lovers will enjoy the Feast Dog Show, as well as a ‘Doggie kissing booth’ for dogs for that perfect Instagram-worthy photo; there is even an opportunity to adopt puppies, look for the “Scruffer Lovers Dog Adoptions” stall, where you can pat a puppy and learn more about how you can help rehouse and relocate lovely scruffies a new home across South Australia.
For those with an appetite, there will be plenty of tasty food stalls, as well as the Cake Bake Off judged by the iconic Maggie Beer at 11.15am. So eat well and get energised ready for plenty of action, with lots of free sports activities with local legends Adelaide United, Rugby Sharks, Surf Lifesaving and the Adelaide Spikers. For wannabee soccer players, meet your hero Adelaide United Josh Cavalo, bring your footy shirts for Josh to sign! Or if you are feeling competitive, kids can enjoy plenty of outdoor games from connect 4, to Petanque.
Put some colour back into your world with free face painting for kids and even free temporary Tattoos by Elder Care. Or get crafty with Lutheran Care, making DIY Keyrings and other craft activities.
Don’t forget to put your best disco outfit on, so you can dance to the beat of SAFM who will be onsite playing their toe-tapping beats, to get you in the party mood. Keep an eye out for Black Thunders giveaway.
Sit back and relax and enjoy the festival beats, surrounded by beautiful drag queens, fluffy puppies, rainbow colours and a very happy community.
