Creative minds of all ages have the chance to dabble in the digital arts as ILA presents Pixel Paint – an immersive activation inspired by the rare exhibition of works by renowned artists Robert Hannaford AM and Alison Mitchell Hannaford.

Curated by Hill Smith Art Advisory and featuring recent drawings, paintings and sculpture, ‘Coffee, Turps and Devotion‘ in the Light Room Gallery at ILA, Australia’s Centre for Immersive Light and Art, will mark this celebrated South Australian duo’s first combined exhibition outside their own gallery in Riverton.

In the adjacent studio space, visitors to ILA’s ticketed Pixel Paint experience will be invited to unleash their creativity with digital brushes.  Still life arrangements will be displayed throughout the room for you to have your hand at capturing via their Pixel Paint brushes, with The Light Room Studio’s LED screens as your canvas. 

It’s a totally unique experience using technology created by the University of Adelaide’s Realities Extended, and the perfect culmination of art and technology. This family friendly activity is perfect for even the smallest budding artist.
