Re:PLAY Eco-conscious, Family Friendly Workshops return to Adelaide Festival Centre’s Artspace during the school holidays.

Led by prominent South Australian artists, these school holiday sessions invite children and their caregivers to dive into the world of sustainable art-making, transforming everyday items into imaginative masterpieces.

Whether you’re layering textures, building sculptures, or painting with unconventional tools, each workshop offers a new way to see beauty in the discarded and create with purpose.

Have sensory-sensitive kids?

Wednesday 30 September 2026 will have a relaxed crafting session with smaller group sizes, designed to support children with sensory sensitivities, and give them the freedom to be their authentic selves.

Spring School Holidays Activities

Coloured Collage Art with Hari Koutlakis

• Explore shape, colour and composition as a family, overlapping paper-covered cardboard shapes into a raised collage that’s ready to hang at home.

Fantastical Birds of the Future with Cassie Thring

• Turn everyday scraps into extraordinary creatures as you and your kids invent a one-of-a-kind bird sculpture from discarded materials.
