Review by Angelica-Hazel Toutounji

Let’s be honest, its not always easy picking the right place for a celebration or even just finding somewhere for a casual meal that everyone will enjoy. We stumbled upon Saints Kitchen recently as we found ourselves in the suburb of Salisbury and this place absolutely exceeded our expectations.

Walking into the café on a rainy Friday night, it was clear to see that this spot was a local favourite. With ample seating inside and out, the place is spacious, modern and nice enough for a special occasion but low key enough that kids feel welcome too. The menu features all of the traditional favourites including pizza, pasta, burgers and steak. Not only is there a great choice of items, the menu is loaded with gluten free options and caters to vegans, vegetarians and dairy free diners too!

Moving onto the kid friendly focus, Saints Kitchen offers $13 kids meals* in a choice of beef sliders, chicken schnitzel, crumbed fish, an arancini platter or spaghetti ragu. Both my children opted for the chicken schnitzel and they absolutely devoured them. This was no small feat either as the serves were not stingy in the slightest! Whilst waiting for our meals the kids were given paper and colouring in pencils which helped pass the time. Some of the other menu items that we tried were the beef cheeks (melt in your mouth), the margarita pizza, chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce, salt and pepper squid and the squid salad. We couldn’t fault any of the meals and coming from a family of foodies, this is not always the case when we dine out!

Last but not least, we ended our night with the most delicious dessert called ‘hot cookie delight’. I don’t usually go crazy for dessert but this double chocolate warm cookie lathered in Nutella and topped with ice cream was one of the most delicious desserts I have ever had! This baby costs $17 and fed three adults and two kids, making it also very good value. If you visit Saints Kitchen I highly recommend you save room for dessert because honestly they were that good!

Aside from the quality food and relaxed family friendly setting, Saints Kitchen also has great service. The staff were attentive, food came out fast and everyone that we interacted with was so lovely.

So if you are in search of a location for your next family meal or birthday celebration, we highly recommend Saints Kitchen!
