The Adelaide City Libraries are partnering with the Young Scientists of Australia (YSA) to explore the science of colour on Tuesday the 20 December 2016 at Rundle Place!
Have you ever wondered why the sky is blue and why it turns red at sunset? Do you know why rainbows appear after a rainy day? Don your lab coats and find out how scientists use colour to identify chemicals and mixtures, and why mixing colours doesn’t always make what you expect. You’ll also investigate why the sky can be so many different colours and where rainbows come from. There’s lots of hands-on activities to try to answer all of these questions and more! Make sure to hang around to meet Ollie the Robot once the science has wrapped up.
The event goes from 4pm to 5.30pm. It is a FREE event but bookings are essential. Book from the Adelaide City Council website here.
